Visions For Perris
Elect Judy Haughney for Perris City Clerk
Dear Voter and Perris Citizen,
I am writing to you today to make a request for your support and your vote in the upcoming election to be held Tuesday November 7th, 2006. First let me note, I am just like you. I am a resident in the City of Perris who cares what happens. I believe things can be changed, but only if we are willing to do what is necessary to change them. Actions speak louder that words.
My husband Shawn and I saw the potential that Perris had to offer when we purchased our home over 12 years ago. We were not wrong. We have operated a successful business and raised an outstanding son, Robert, who is now married to our wonderful daughter-in-law Marisol. We became involved immediately in volunteer work. My husband Shawn serves on the Perris Public Safety Commission as Vice-Chairman and also serves the community by volunteering on the very important and vital Citizen's Patrol. Robert has volunteered with the City of Perris, coached local youth soccer, participated in the Sheriff's Explorer program and was a member of the Perris Citizen's Patrol. I have served on several boards and committees and am currently serving as the Chairperson for the Perris Planning Commission and serve on the Board of Directors for the Perris Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Over the years I have become increasingly involved in the city's government and how it operates. I have witnessed, first hand, the good times and the bad. I have consistently attended City Council meetings, for over 10 years, and voiced my opinion on matters of concern to my community, my family and myself. In doing so, I believe I have made a positive impact on the City of Perris and its residents.
After the unexpected resignation of former City Clerk, Margaret Rey, the City Council honored me with appointment to the office of the City Clerk. I have served you, the citizen's of Perris, as your City Clerk, since that time.
I would be pleased and honored to receive your vote on November 7th and continue to serve you, the citizen's of Perris, as your City Clerk.
The most important thing however, in this, or any, election is that every person, who is eligible, must vote. This is the key ingredient in changing things. This is action.
